Singapore Night Festival

On 21 Aug, 22 Aug, 28 Aug, 29 Aug, 4 Sep and 5 Sep 2026, the museum's opening hours will be extended for the Singapore Night Festival.

• 9am–5:45pm: Museum open
• 5:45pm–7pm: Museum closed
• 7pm–10pm: Museum reopens

Planned Gallery Closures

All planned closures will also be detailed on the affected gallery pages. Occasionally, galleries may need to close at short notice for safety reasons.

• 1 September 2026, from 4pm: The museum will be closed to the public.
• From 28 September 2026: Into the Hawkerverse on Level 2 will close as we prepare for a new exhibition, opening on 14 November 2026.

Temporary Museum Access: 29 September–12 November 2026

During this period, Level 1 will be open for visits. Admission is free for all visitors, and advance online booking is still required.

Full museum closures

• 5–7 October 2026: Entire museum closed to the public.
