Join storyteller Jeremy Leong as he shares the heartwarming tale of Grandpa Yeh, who leaves Swatow, China with only a family rice cake mould and builds a new life in Singapore. Through the making of png kueh, a traditional Teochew rice cake, Grandpa finds comfort, connection, and the strength of family bonds. This storytelling session highlights resilience, heritage, and tradition. A sign language interpreter will be present for the session on 6 December, in line with our commitment to inclusivity.

Join us for an exploration of the PLAY + MAKE space and an exclusive facilitated workshop featuring the debut of Play-Doh Barbie, a one-of-a-kind collaboration that brings together two iconic brands, Hasbro and Mattel, for the ultimate creative play experience. This exciting collection invites children into a vibrant world of hands-on fashion design and imaginative creation. A collaboration between Children’s Museum Singapore and Hasbro in support of the museum’s fundraising efforts, each parent-child pair will receive a Play-Doh Barbie Doll Assortment (worth S$39.90) and Play-Doh Barbie Designer Pattern Packs Assortment (worth S$19.90).

In this special session, kids can dream big and invent ideas to make hawker centres kinder to both people and the planet. This free drop-in activity is presented by Children’s Museum Singapore, in collaboration with The LEGO Group, as part of the Into the Hawkerverse special exhibition.

Step into the vibrant world of Singapore’s hawker culture with Superhawker Me!. Packed with heartwarming moments, catchy sing-alongs, and hands-on interactive fun, this multisensory relaxed performance promises an unforgettable family experience. Follow Ming on a delightful adventure at East Hawker Centre where Ming’s grandparents’ legendary Hero Popiah stall resides and earned them the title of “superhawkers” in Ming’s eyes. Inspired by their legacy, Ming dreams of becoming a superhawker too. But what truly makes one a hero of the hawker world? Come and cheer Ming on in this fun, sensory-filled journey to discover the true meaning of a “superhawker”! Created with neurodiverse children in mind, Superhawker Me is part of Children’s Museum Singapore’s commitment to being an inclusive museum for all.

Nurture your child’s inner designer through a hands-on challenge that sparks curiosity, courage, and creative thinking! In this immersive, playful experience in the PLAY+MAKE space at Children’s Museum Singapore, children will get to design creative solutions using surprising materials such as slime! They will get to think outside the box, explore bold ideas and activate their innate designer instincts. Nothing is impossible – the limit is one’s imagination! Children who complete a challenge will receive a STEM Challenge Cards Set sponsored by the James Dyson Foundation (while stocks last). This is a satellite event of the Design Education Summit 2025 that is co-organised by Children’s Museum Singapore and DesignSingapore Council with support from the James Dyson Foundation.
