This year, step into the shoes of a Little Hawker Hero and help WonderBot recover his missing Recipe Book of Singapore’s favourite foods. Embark on an egg-citing adventure through bustling hawker stalls, complete fun-filled missions, and discover the stories behind beloved local dishes and ingredients. Keep your eyes peeled as you hunt for hidden eggs and uncover delicious surprises that celebrate Singapore’s vibrant food culture. Enjoy fantastic prizes and delightful treats from Children’s Museum Singapore, HaruPlate, Nom, Itsmamamag, Yeo’s, LEGO, and Hasbro and Mattel. Gather your family and join us for a fantastic day of food, fun, and celebration!

Terms & Conditions

  1. Please arrive 10 minutes before the start time of the programme for registration.
  2. Tickets prices are $25 per child and $15 per adult. A maximum of 4 single tickets may be purchased per transaction. There is also a bundle package for 2 children and 2 adults at $70.
  3. All children must be accompanied by a ticket-holding adult at all times.
  4. The programme will take place across three locations: Children’s Museum Singapore, Lewin Terrace (indoor) and Fort Canning Park (outdoor). In the event of wet weather, all outdoor activities will be relocated to indoor venues. Kindly follow the instructions of the museum staff. 
  5. The programme duration is approximately 1 hour, with 45 minutes of museum exploration.

[Free Drop-In Activity] Stamping the Coast: A Batik-Inspired Activity by Art Away Studio

Stamping the Coast is a fun, hands-on activity inspired by the art of batik. Children can create their own designs using coastal-themed stamps and colourful ink, exploring patterns and motifs while making a unique artwork to bring home.

[Ticketed] COASTAL LIVES: Stories of the Sea – An Excursion to CMSG and CCM

Singapore’s story has always been shaped by the sea—through the lives of fishermen, the flavours of coastal kampongs, and the patterns woven into cloth. COASTAL LIVES invites families on a living heritage journey into Singapore’s maritime past. Begin at the Children’s Museum Singapore with WOVEN WAVES - Conceptualised by batik heritage expert Aqilah Zailan from Studio Gypsied and led by visual artist Cherlyn from Art Away Studio - discovering the stories and motifs within batik. Then board a charter bus where storyteller Kamini Ramachandran’s original audio tales and hands-on activities guide you toward Changi Chapel and Museum. There, experience TASTES OF THE TIDES with Emylia Safian and Minh Le Tien, exploring Laksa Siglap and the culinary heritage of coastal kampong life. COASTAL LIVES is curated by Kamini Ramachandran and produced by The Artground for Singapore HeritageFest 2026.

[Ticketed] WOVEN WAVES: Reading Stories in Batik by Studio Gypsied and Art Away Studio

1 & 2 May 2026

Uncover the maritime stories hidden in batik in this hands-on family workshop! Discover how Southeast Asian batik textiles act as “maritime archives”, with clouds, waves and sea creatures woven into patterns that once guided fishermen, traders and travellers. Conceptualised by batik heritage expert Aqilah Zailan from Studio Gypsied and led by visual artist Cherlyn from Art Away Studio, families will learn to decode these meaningful motifs using specially designed stamps such as Tumbuh (clouds) and Asmara (waves). Follow the Nusantara journey through the collection of stamps and create your own maritime story-cloth to bring home. Through stamping, storytelling and play, discover how batik makers transformed fabric into living records of the sea!

COASTAL LIVES invites families on a living heritage journey across Children’s Museum Singapore and Reflections at Bukit Chandu to explore Singapore’s maritime heritage—through the nets of fishermen and the patterns woven into batik cloth. Begin at Children’s Museum Singapore, where WOVEN WAVES - Conceptualised by batik heritage expert Aqilah Zailan from Studio Gypsied and led by visual artist Cherlyn from Art Away Studio - reveals the stories hidden in batik patterns. Then board a charter bus as storyteller Kamini Ramachandran shares original audio tales and hands-on discovery activities en route to Reflections at Bukit Chandu. There, explore kelongs, fishing nets, and the rhythms of coastal life. Encounter vanishing kelong traditions with arts collective C.O.O.E., and learn about traditional fishing tools and knotting techniques. COASTAL LIVES is curated by Kamini Ramachandran and produced by The Artground for Singapore HeritageFest 2026.
