[Ticketed] I am a Play-Doh Barbie Fashionista!

Join us for an exploration of the PLAY + MAKE space and an exclusive facilitated workshop featuring the debut of Play-Doh Barbie, a one-of-a-kind collaboration that brings together two iconic brands, Hasbro and Mattel, for the ultimate creative play experience. This exciting collection invites children into a vibrant world of hands-on fashion design and imaginative creation. A collaboration between Children’s Museum Singapore and Hasbro in support of the museum’s fundraising efforts, each parent-child pair will receive a Play-Doh Barbie Doll Assortment (worth S$39.90) and Play-Doh Barbie Designer Pattern Packs Assortment (worth S$19.90).

Terms & Conditions:
- Please arrive 10 minutes before the start time of the programme for registration.
- This programme is held at Children’s Museum Singapore, Discovery Room (Level 2). Participants are to meet at Children’s Museum Singapore Ticketing Counter for registration before exploration of the museum for the first 30 mins. An announcement will be made to gather programme participants for the workshop.
- The total duration of the programme is approximately 1 hour 30 mins, including exploration in the museum.
- All children must be accompanied by an adult.

[Free Activity] Build the Change X Into the Hawkerverse Workshop

In this special session, kids can dream big and invent ideas to make hawker centres kinder to both people and the planet. This free drop-in activity is presented by Children’s Museum Singapore, in collaboration with The LEGO Group, as part of the Into the Hawkerverse special exhibition.

[Free Drop-In storytelling] The Incredible Basket

Xiaoming delivers a batch of ang ku kueh with a beautiful Chinese wedding basket, then turns it into a prop for a lion dance. When the sun beats down on him, he repurposes the basket's cover as a hat! At home in a second-floor shophouse, it is attached to a rope to get a bowl of noodles from the street hawker. Join Quek Hong Shin, author and illustrator of the book, The Incredible Basket, to discover how Xiaoming uses his empty basket in many imaginative ways. This session is specially curated to complement the PLAY + MAKE travelling exhibition, an imaginative maker’s space where children explore Singapore’s rich food heritage through hands-on activities.

Packed with heartwarming moments, catchy sing-alongs, and hands-on interactive fun, this multisensory relaxed performance promises an unforgettable family experience. Follow Ming on a delightful adventure at East Hawker Centre where Ming’s grandparents’ legendary Hero Popiah stall resides and earned them the title of “superhawkers” in Ming’s eyes. Inspired by their legacy, Ming dreams of becoming a superhawker too. But what truly makes one a hero of the hawker world? Come and cheer Ming on in this fun, sensory-filled journey to discover the true meaning of a “superhawker”! Created with neurodiverse children in mind, Superhawker Me is part of Children’s Museum Singapore’s commitment to being an inclusive museum for all.

[Free Drop-In Storytelling] Grandpa Yeh’s Journey South
5 & 6 Dec 2025
Join storyteller Jeremy Leong as he shares the heartwarming tale of Grandpa Yeh, who leaves Swatow, China with only a family rice cake mould and builds a new life in Singapore. Through the making of png kueh, a traditional Teochew rice cake, Grandpa finds comfort, connection, and the strength of family bonds. This storytelling session highlights resilience, heritage, and tradition. A sign language interpreter will be present for the session on 6 December, in line with our commitment to inclusivity.
