[Free Activity] WonderBot and the Time Travel Capsule

Travel through Singapore’s past and present with WonderBot and Chloe! From the bustling Singapore River to the lively Satay Club, discover the sights, sounds, and stories of our island. Join author Quek Hong Shin for a fun storytelling session celebrating Children’s Museum Singapore’s first children’s book. Can WonderBot and Chloe fix their capsule and get home? After the story, create your own personalised time capsule with your little ones - capturing memories through writing and drawing. Inclusive and fun for the whole family!

Duration: 1 hr

Recommended Age: 4 to 10 years old

Activity Fee: $5 deposit per participant. The deposit will be refunded when you attend the programme. Please note that the deposit is non-refundable if the participant does not show up.

Terms & Conditions:

  1. This is a complimentary programme which requires pre-registration to secure a spot. A $5 refundable deposit will be collected at the point of sign-up and refunded upon confirmation of attendance. 
  2. Please assemble at the museum lobby at least 10 mins before the start time of the programme. CMSG reserves the right to release your slots to other participants if you arrive more than 10 minutes late. 
  3. All children must be accompanied by adults.

Join us for an exploration of the PLAY + MAKE space and an exclusive facilitated workshop featuring the debut of Play-Doh Barbie, a one-of-a-kind collaboration that brings together two iconic brands, Hasbro and Mattel, for the ultimate creative play experience. This exciting collection invites children into a vibrant world of hands-on fashion design and imaginative creation. A collaboration between Children’s Museum Singapore and Hasbro in support of the museum’s fundraising efforts, each parent-child pair will receive a Play-Doh Barbie Doll Assortment (worth S$39.90) and Play-Doh Barbie Designer Pattern Packs Assortment (worth S$19.90).

[Free Activity] Build the Change X Into the Hawkerverse Workshop

[Free Drop-In storytelling] The Incredible Basket

Xiaoming delivers a batch of ang ku kueh with a beautiful Chinese wedding basket, then turns it into a prop for a lion dance. When the sun beats down on him, he repurposes the basket's cover as a hat! At home in a second-floor shophouse, it is attached to a rope to get a bowl of noodles from the street hawker. Join Quek Hong Shin, author and illustrator of the book, The Incredible Basket, to discover how Xiaoming uses his empty basket in many imaginative ways. This session is specially curated to complement the PLAY + MAKE travelling exhibition, an imaginative maker’s space where children explore Singapore’s rich food heritage through hands-on activities.

End the session on a heartwarming note with an inclusive storytelling of Grandpa Yeh’s Journey South, brought to life with sign language interpretation.
