[Ticketed] The In-Kueh-Dible Play

Date: 1, 3, 4, 10, 11 May 2025

Time: 11:00am

Join us in this In-Kueh-Dible Play experience where families can explore all things kueh using their senses. Get your little ones to enjoy a sensory play session, while your older children can create their own putu ayu inspired shower steamer.

 

Sensory Play Workshop Only

For the little ones, let them enjoy hands-on sensory play with water play, rice play, and more – it’s a treat for the senses!

Duration: Approximately 30 mins

Date: 1, 3, 4, 10, & 11 May 2025

Time: 9:00am – 10:00am (complementary museum visit), 10:00am – 11:00am (Both Sensory Play and Shower Steamer workshops will take place concurrently)

Venue: Children’s Museum Singapore

Recommended Age: 4 years and below

Activity Fee (for the Sensory Play Workshop only): $25 per child; $15 per adult

Shower Steamer Workshop Only

For older kids, let their creativity shine as they craft their own colorful Putu Ayu-inspired shower steamers! These unique creations make the perfect Mother's Day gift.

Duration: Approximately 30 mins

Date: 1, 3, 4, 10, & 11 May 2025

Time: 9:00am – 10:00am (complementary museum visit), 10:00am – 11:00am (Both Sensory Play and Shower Steamer workshops will take place concurrently)

Venue: Children’s Museum Singapore

Recommended Age: 3 years and above

Activity Fee (for the Shower Steamer Workshop only): $25 per child; $15 per adult

The In-Kueh-Dible Play (for 2 adults & 2 children, for both activities)

If you have 2 adults and 2 children, you can enjoy a discounted price for both the activities with our Bundle Package!

Kindly note as the Sensory Play and Shower Steamer workshops happen at the same time, you'll need to split into two separate parent-child pairs to participate in the respective workshops. (i.e. one parent & child will attend the Sensory Play workshop, and another parent & child will attend the Shower Steamer workshop at the same time)

[Free Drop-In Storytelling] Grandpa Yeh’s Journey South

5 & 6 Dec 2025

Join storyteller Jeremy Leong as he shares the heartwarming tale of Grandpa Yeh, who leaves Swatow, China with only a family rice cake mould and builds a new life in Singapore. Through the making of png kueh, a traditional Teochew rice cake, Grandpa finds comfort, connection, and the strength of family bonds. This storytelling session highlights resilience, heritage, and tradition. A sign language interpreter will be present for the session on 6 December, in line with our commitment to inclusivity.

[Ticketed] An Excursion to Mr Bucket Chocolaterie

Did you know that the name of Mr Bucket Chocolaterie is inspired by Roald Dahl’s popular children’s book “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory? Join us for an exploration of the PLAY + MAKE space and hop on a bus to Mr Bucket Chocolaterie at Dempsey for a chocolate workshop and learn all about the world of chocolate as well as make your very own Prawn Keropok Snaps, one of Mr Bucket’s best-selling local inspired chocolate items in celebration of Singapore’s rich food heritage! All participants will be making 2 packets worth (180g) of Prawn Keropok Snaps, receive a Mr Bucket spatula to take home and a $5 dining voucher. Make this an unforgettable chocolatey fun family outing!

Join us for an exploration of the PLAY + MAKE space and an exclusive facilitated workshop featuring the debut of Play-Doh Barbie, a one-of-a-kind collaboration that brings together two iconic brands, Hasbro and Mattel, for the ultimate creative play experience. This exciting collection invites children into a vibrant world of hands-on fashion design and imaginative creation. A collaboration between Children’s Museum Singapore and Hasbro in support of the museum’s fundraising efforts, each parent-child pair will receive a Play-Doh Barbie Doll Assortment (worth S$39.90) and Play-Doh Barbie Designer Pattern Packs Assortment (worth S$19.90).

Come and cheer Ming on in this fun, sensory-filled journey to discover the true meaning of a “superhawker”! Created with neurodiverse children in mind, Superhawker Me is part of Children’s Museum Singapore’s commitment to being an inclusive museum for all.
