Inspired by an unfinished beaded panel on display at the Peranakan Museum, this installation celebrates the intricate artistry and diverse perspectives of Peranakan communities. It features a facade projection and art display that invites visitors to reimagine the panel while contemplating the meditative practice of beadworking.

Interact with the cloth-like layered visuals to explore the texture and complexity of beaded art and transform it through touch and gesture. Collaborate with others to create a unified, full-scale artwork that weaves intricate threads and beads into a cohesive piece.

View the unfinished beaded panel that inspired this work in the Decorative Textiles Gallery on Level 3.

One question remains: Why was it never finished?
