Port to Plate is a walking theatre performance based on Singapore’s hawker heritage, particularly the stories found near the mouth of the Singapore River. Set in the 1930s, we take a group of aspiring hawkers on a walk around the bustling area to prepare them to set up their very own stalls. Along the way, we meet different characters who tell us about life near the Singapore River in the 1930s.

We travel down memory lane to the river where it all started, sharing tales of the river when it flowed in all its glory, developments along the river when Sir Stamford Raffles transformed it into a bustling trading post and the massive clean up after, establishing it into a scenic landmark.
