Kickstarting at Armenian Street, a dedicated Craft x Design hub, the programme then travels to HOMEGROUND @ ACM Green - bringing craft experiences across the festival. Heat Press and Play

Join our HOMEGROUND artist HAFI for Heat Press and Play, a workshop where participants are given traditional textiles like batik as a canvas for storytelling. They can choose from an array of Illustrated heat press patches, arrange them on the fabric and iron them on. The end result is a stunning piece of tapestry that they will be able to weave their stories on and bring home. Participants are encouraged to bring their own batiks or cotton-made items (up to two) to decorate and create a more personal narrative.

Jejak Silam: Discover Archaeology

Participants will learn archaeology basics through a simulated excavation and documentation process using real artefacts from Kampong Gelam. The workshop ends with a sharing by artist Fazleen Karlan on how archaeology inspires her sculptural installation for MHC’s revamped galleries.
