What Holds

Explore a large-scale multimedia installation that reinterprets iconic regional folklore through a captivating blend of illustration, sculpture, and sound. Spanning three monumental window panels, the public architectural display traces an evocative progression from raw physical force to resilient resistance and its ultimate aftermath, drawing deep inspiration from the historical legends of Bukit Merah, Kusu Island, and Prince Sang Nila Utama. At scheduled intervals throughout the evening, the structure activates via automated lighting sequences and recorded voice tracks, revealing a hidden hidden layer beneath the surface imagery. This thought-provoking artwork reframes familiar stories into an integrated study of pressure and reconstruction.
