PLAY @ Children’s Season 2026: Weekend Carnival

Time: 4.00pm and 6.00pm

In celebration of UNICEF’s International Day of Play, Children’s Museum Singapore, in collaboration with the Museum Roundtable and community partners, presents PLAY @ Children’s Season 2026 — a week-long line-up of workshops, drop-in activities, and a vibrant weekend carnival.  The programme brings together children, caregivers, educators, and arts practitioners to champion play as a fundamental right and an essential part of learning, wellbeing, and social connection.  The week culminates in a lively weekend carnival featuring partner booth activations, installation-performances, and interactive experiences that transform play principles into joyful, hands-on moments for families and communities.

Event Information

Ticket: $10 per pax (access to all activities)

Time Slots:
• 4:00pm – 5:45pm
• 6:00pm – 7:45pm
Entry is by selected time slot. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your session.

Activities: All activities below are drop-in and first-come-first-served for ticket holders.

Registration: Wristbands issued onsite at Children’s Museum Singapore and Armenian Street.

Notes:

  • Children must be accompanied by an adult.
  • In the event of rain and haze, the activities located at Armenian Street may be temporarily paused or cancelled subject to on-site staff assessment. The other indoor activities at Children’s Museum Singapore, Children's Museum Singapore's carpark and Lewin Terrace will proceed as usual.
  • Participate in activities around the carnival to collect stamps. Collect a minimum of 3 stamps to redeem 1 goodie bag. Each child is entitled to a maximum of 1 goodie bag redemption, regardless of the number of stamps collected. Goodie bags are while stocks last.

📍 Locations

Activities take place across two nearby locations, approximately 2–3 minutes’ walk apart. Look out for signage and staff onsite for directions.

This programme is part of Children’s Season 2026 Weekend Carnival.

Tickets are $10 per pax (child or adult).

Entry is by selected time slot. Please arrive 10 minutes early.

Wristbands will be issued upon registration.

Children aged 12 and below must be accompanied by an adult.

All tickets purchased are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.

Children's Museum Singapore reserves the right to amend programme details and redemption mechanics without prior notice. All on-site decisions made by staff are final.

Children’s Season 2026 Signature Programme - The Four Harmonious Friends

19, 20, 26, 27 June 2026

Four different animals, namely Peacock, Monkey, Rabbit and Elephant have migrated into an island in search of better lives. They have heard much about this particular island – it has low crime rate and free from natural disaster. Given their diverse backgrounds, the animals will now have to figure out ways to live harmoniously and sustainably with one another. At the heart of it all, The Four Harmonious Friends is a production that gets young audience to reflect on the importance of staying united as one to achieve common goals and practice sustainable habits. This programme is part of the Children’s Season 2026 Signature Programmes line-up, presented by Children’s Museum Singapore, in collaboration with KidsSTOP™, Science Centre Singapore.

PLAY @ Children’s Season 2026 - Let Loose & Play: Music Makers

Come play to the beat of your own drum…literally! Explore and build your own musical instrument using recycled loose materials. Inspired by the artwork titled 'Music' by Tan Ping Chiang, family participants can explore how different materials can make different sounds. Come have fun, experiment and make some creative noise together as we celebrate the International Day of Play. This programme is part of PLAY @ Children’s Season 2026, organised by Children’s Museum Singapore, in collaboration with National Gallery Singapore.

PLAY @ Children’s Season 2026 - Bridging Generations Through Child-led Play Workshop

Held in celebration of International Day of Play, this workshop on child-directed play and creativity is designed for educators, artists, caregivers and grandparents. Discover practical strategies for creating meaningful experiences that bridge generations, including tips on connecting over traditional games and encouraging intergenerational communication through play. This workshop facilitated by Chapter Zero, is presented by the Children’s Museum Singapore in collaboration with the National Museum of Singapore.
