The phrase "Ta'at Setia" means faithful and true. It was the proud motto of the Malay Regiment, symbolising unwavering loyalty and courage. Even after Singapore's surrender, several members paid the ultimate price for refusing to renounce their allegiance or remove their uniforms when ordered by Japanese soldiers. Their sacrifice continues to inspire generations today.
