Living heritage is all around us, weaved into the fabric of our everyday lives in Singapore. From our morning kopi and kaya toast at the hawker centre to the beats of kompang at Malay weddings - the tossing of yusheng during Chinese New Year and the Thaipusam procession, our intangible cultural heritage (ICH) breathes life into our everyday experiences. These practices, passed down through generations, aren't just frozen in time—they're dynamic, evolving expressions of who we are as a community. 

This May, Singapore HeritageFest invites you to immerse yourself in a month-long celebration of our vibrant living heritage with more than 100 programmes, as we mark 60 years of Singapore's independence. Meet our heritage practitioners, hear their inspiring stories and play a part in keeping our heritage alive. Together, we continue to build a resilient nation, strengthened by the rich tapestry of our shared cultural legacy.
