Our Legacy

Festival Message

Singapore’s story is inseparable from the sea. From bustling ports and thriving trades to the communities who lived and worked along our shores, our maritime heritage is not just history but a living legacy that continues to shape our identity today.

As a steward of Singapore’s cultural and heritage ecosystem, Singapore HeritageFest brings together partners across communities to co-create meaningful experiences that explore our maritime heritage from diverse perspectives.

This May, we’ve put together over 100 programmes islandwide with more than 100 partners, ranging from hands-on workshops to performances and immersive experiences. We invite you to join us in a journey through our maritime past, and discover the stories, traditions and practices that continue to anchor us today. Keep an eye out for Pitta, our festival mascot this year, and you could win and redeem a limited edition SHF keepsake at our signature festival experience HOMEGROUND.

Together, we celebrate not just where we come from but how our shared heritage continues to connect and shape us as one nation.
