UTOPIA, an immersive video installation by Loh transports viewers 600 years into the future, envisioning Bugis as a vibrant, cosmopolitan island spaceport. At its heart, two spacemen engage in a serene zero-gravity tea ceremony, semi-submerged in the bay. Their suits are not merely protective gear but carriers of fragmented language and echoes of ancestral appetites.

Here, food transcends its form, becoming the ultimate cultural adhesive, with futuristic renditions of iconic dishes like nasi lemak and laksa. Each flavour acts as a profound timestamp and a chant of memory. The visuals loop hypnotically, celebrating Singapore's intricate hybrid identities and rich culinary cosmologies. This "Island Utopia" invites a layered experience of culture and boundless possibility, asserting Singapore's enduring essence.
