Timbre Music X Guinness Amplify Present Singapore Originals: King Kong Jane
King Kong Jane rose to prominence in 2007, when it was selected to perform at alternative music festival Baybeats. In 2008, King Kong Jane won nationwide band competition Powerjam, and was named Best English Local Act in The Sunday Times. Known for its energetic live performances and catchy rock tunes such as ‘If It Wasn’t For You’ and ‘Lemonade’, King Kong Jane released its debut album ‘Waiting For Friday’ in 2011. The band has been in semi-hiatus in recent years and fans will be rewarded by an energetic, rare performance at Singapore Originals.
Singapore Originals is a series presented by Timbre Music and Guinness to recognise independent original musical works by Singaporeans. Singapore Originals happens every last Wednesday of the month at Timbre @ The Substation (unless otherwise stated).
