Macbeth

Macbeth

Macbeth

Description: To know my deed, ’twere best not know myself.

In this version of Shakespeare's classic, the tragedy of Macbeth becomes one of his own making as he embraces and takes fate into his own hands. Seduced by signs of possibility and the lure of power, the good and noble Macbeth considers the cost of opportunity to assuming position and all power. Fuelled by his own desires and bolstered by the support of his wife, he takes the life of his loved and respected leader, Duncan. This triggers a trail of bloody betrayal as Macbeth, struggling with guilt, engulfed by ambition and suffering deep loss, battles on into madness and his own downfall.

Macbeth runs for two shows on 3 August, 7.30pm, and 4 August, 7.30pm.
