With modernisation and rapid economic development after its independence, many trades that were once a familiar sight in Singapore are rarely seen today. Using materials from the library and archives, this session looks at some of these trades and what they were like even as memories of them are fast fading away.

About the Speaker
Joanna Tan is a Senior Librarian at the National Library, Singapore, and works with the Singapore and Southeast Asia collections. Her responsibilities include collection management, content development as well as providing reference and research services.
