An intimate heritage experience at Marina at Keppel Bay

Set upon the quiet waters that once sustained a vibrant island community, Brani by Boat invites you into an evening of rare proximity - to place, to memory, and to those who carry its stories forward.

Aboard a docked vessel at Marina at Keppel Bay, the experience unfolds with quiet intention. Guests are guided across the surrounding waters near Sentosa and Pulau Brani, tracing the outlines of former shorelines, working harbours, and the everyday landscapes of island life, now held only in memory.

As dusk settles, the journey continues through a short documentary and an intimate storytelling session with former islanders and their descendants. Their reflections - tender, vivid, and deeply personal - offer a window into lives shaped by the sea.

The evening culminates in a curated dinner, where the culinary traditions of Pulau Brani are reinterpreted with restraint and care. The menu draws from the logic of coastal kitchens - where freshness, balance, and instinct guide every dish, and where flavour is built patiently, never imposed.

Bringing together sea, story, and table, Brani by Boat offers not a recreation, but a reflection—of a place once lived, and the enduring elegance of its everyday life.

Our work is guided by our definition of heritage as ‘the living presence of the past’. Singapore’s history is a vital part of our identity and growth. Social bonds are strengthened when we understand and cherish the social memories of past and present generations in the spaces we protect. These beliefs drive our key efforts in research, public education, and advocacy.
