Meeting Point: Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre (Creative Box)
The Teochew Youth Leaders Summit is a public programme that explores the history and evolving role of Chinese clan associations and cultural communities in Singapore.
As part of SHF 2026, the programme explores how these institutions played an important role in shaping Singapore’s cultural landscape and continue to influence community life today. It also takes us on a journey back to understanding the communities within the broader context of migration and trade, examining how early migrants established social networks and support systems through clan associations.
Through a series of short sharing segments and a fireside chat, speakers from business, culture, media and the arts will offer their perspectives on cultural identity, community leadership, and the relevance of heritage in contemporary society. The discussion will also consider how younger Singaporeans can engage with and contribute to sustaining cultural traditions.
The programme will conclude with an interactive mingling session, providing participants with the opportunity to exchange views and meet with others with a similar interest in heritage and community!
