A Lighter Side of History The Kebaya Narrative
Join us for an exclusive workshop with Oniatta Effendi as we delve into the rich heritage of the kebaya.

Now recognised on UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage list, the kebaya is a beloved garment that has gracefully transcended generations and borders across Southeast Asia.

Discover the kebaya’s journey – from its traditional roots to its contemporary expressions – while honouring its enduring role as a symbol of cultural identity and community.

The programme includes a hands-on session where participants will be guided through the fundamentals of fabric selection and aesthetic styling on mannequins – an immersive exploration of how thoughtful choices bring form, function, and heritage together.
