Discover the world of the Peranakan community, a central part of Singapore's culture, with ManekNya. This talk explores the origins, history, and traditions of the Peranakans, with a special focus on the intricate beading art of Nyonya beadwork. Our speaker, Swee Lin the founder of ManekNya, can learn the cultural significance of these handcrafted beads, the techniques passed down through generations (for her would be her mother), and the importance of preserving this heritage.
