Saturday (16, 23 May): 10am - 11:30am

Discover the heritage of Chinese seal carving in a workshop that reimagines this ancient art form for the modern day. Historically used by scholars and artists as personal emblems of identity, seals represented a significant cultural legacy in early Singapore. This 1.5-hour session provides a simplified version of the craft using foam boards, making the technique accessible while preserving its artistic essence. In alignment with the festival’s maritime theme, participants will design and carve their own unique seals inspired by seafaring motifs. It is a creative way to link personal expression with Singapore's maritime past, creating a contemporary emblem of heritage to take home.

This programme is Culture Pass eligible.
