Friday (1 May): 8:30am - 11am
Saturday (16 May): 8:30am - 11am

Geylang has its roots as a farming rural community. Capitalizing on its proximity to the city, it evolved to become a diverse religious & clan hub, drawn by its affordable rentals.

NGOs and SMEs also follow suit, resulting in a diverse scene where they are located cheek by jowl in shophouse-lined lorongs.

Today while its red-light district moniker deters many locals, it draws crowds of uncles and migrant workers with its wide food selection and accessible gathering spaces. Geylang's beauty lies in its organic development, untouched by gentrification.

Come join us as we explore the day-time Geylang trail, pose for photos with its eclectic shophouse designs and tune in to tales of Geylang folks.

This programme is Culture Pass eligible.
