Sunday (3 May): 9am - 12.15pm
Saturday (9 & 23 May): 9am - 2.15pm

Ever wanted to try urban exploration and uncover forgotten stories from Singapore’s early industrial and naval past? This guided experience brings you through the former Shell Lubricant Plant, once a highly secured site. Discover its role in Singapore’s petroleum industry and how our little red dot, despite having no natural resources, became a global maritime hub powering ships across the region.

Beyond the factory, journey through hidden layers of Woodlands’ past. Visit the exterior of a lesser-known hospital perched atop a hill, then uncover the story of Singapore’s first and only refugee camp, once located along a road that no longer exists. This was where Vietnamese “boat people” arrived by sea, carrying stories of survival and displacement. Hear about the hardships they endured, brought to life through personal recounts from a former refugee who once lived there.

This programme is Culture Pass eligible.
