Join the Jalan Benaan Kapal Experiential Tour, organised by Shining Bakes! This is a captivating 2 hours 30 mins walking journey through the hidden heritage of Singapore’s Kallang district. Starting at Stadium MRT, the tour takes you across a rich tapestry of old and new — from the symbolic Merdeka Bridge to the preserved remains of the Kallang Gasworks and Singapore’s very first civil airport. Along the way, discover Jalan Benaan Kapal, or “Shipbuilders’ Road,” where echoes of a maritime past meet the present. Here, you’ll stop at the nostalgic Jalan Benaan Kapal Food Centre for a taste of traditional Peranakan bakes and a comforting cup of local coffee/tea. The journey concludes at the iconic National Stadium, a modern landmark that stands as a symbol of Singapore’s sporting pride — the perfect finale to a walk that bridges past.

This programme is Culture Pass eligible.
