Kallang River is a true industrial workhorse compared to its more famous sister, the Singapore River.

Kallang River is thrice the length of SG River and was home to a myriad of industries like ship building/repair, rubber trading, timber processing and even soy sauce and flour factories.

It derives its name from the Orang Biduanda Kallang Orang Laut tribe who were the 1st recorded settlers along the river.

Come join us as we traverse this modernized canal system to discover the past stories from vestiges of its former riverine communities.

This programme is Culture Pass eligible.
