Sunday (3, 10, 17 & 24 May): 8.30am - 11.30am

Embark on a deep dive into Cantonese cuisine and culture starting at the Chinatown Complex wet market. You will navigate the fresh and dried produce sections, witnessing the abundance of groupers and live fish while learning about the essential dried ingredients used in traditional Cantonese soups. The journey continues to Hong Lim Complex, where a fourth-generation hawker from Tang Kay Kee Fish Head Bee Hoon provides a masterclass in Cantonese-style tze char. The tour rounds off with a communal lunch featuring snakehead fish, enriched by personal stories of family legacy and the evolution of Singapore's hawker trade.
