Port to Plate is a walking trail and family craft activity based on Singapore’s hawker heritage, particularly the stories found near the mouth of the Singapore River. Set in the 1930s, we take a group of aspiring hawkers on a walk around the bustling area to prepare them to set up their very own stalls. Along the way, we meet different characters who tell us about life near the Singapore River in the 1930s. We complete tasks to collect tools and ingredients needed for our work and ask them questions that help us decide how we set up our hawker stalls.

Friday (1 May): 4.30pm - 5.30pm | 6pm - 7pm
Saturday (2 May): 4.30pm - 5.30pm | 6pm - 7pm

Step back into the 1930s with this immersive parent-child adventure! Aspiring young hawkers will navigate Singapore’s bustling port area, meeting iconic characters like a boatman and a money changer to uncover the trade secrets of the past.

In this collaborative journey, children will design their own menus and "sample dishes" using craft materials to earn a souvenir hawker license. Meanwhile, accompanying adults take on the role of "family elders," embarking on interactive side quests to unlock secret recipes and essential tools for their little hawkers. It’s a creative, hands-on way for families to experience Singapore’s vibrant street-food heritage together.

The Chewy Collective

The Chewy Collective was founded on a keen interest in developing interactive stories for young audiences. Drawing from our collective experiences as early childhood educators and musical theatre performers, we aspire to create shows for the A4YA sector with an unwavering emphasis on fostering creative expression and promoting free play.

We are simultaneously committed to pushing the boundaries of interactive storytelling and theatrical narratives. Specifically, we aspire to challenge and redefine the level of autonomy children possess in decision-making throughout our shows, employing the dynamic and engaging medium of improvisation within the theatrical framework.

Museum of Food

Museum of Food is a non-profit for heritage food education. We design experiences that make heritage food knowledge, techniques, and history accessible to the average Singaporean person. Intergenerational experiences form the core of our practice, relying on older generations to share their knowledge, and translating this knowledge for younger generations to savour. We run exhibitions, conduct cooking workshops, create tasting menus, curate performances and craft activities, and host walking tours — all relating to Singapore’s culinary heritage.
