The Raffles Heritage Sunset Tour invites participants on a journey that traces Singapore’s maritime identity from its earliest vision in 1819 to the coastal landscape we enjoy today. When Sir Stamford Raffles arrived on Singapore’s shores, he recognised the island’s extraordinary potential to become a strategic maritime hub—a free-trade port that would connect cultures, ships, and commerce across the region. His policies laid the foundations for deep-water port development, international shipping routes, and Singapore’s longstanding reputation as a global gateway of the seas.

Although Raffles Marina was established more than a century after Raffles’ time, it stands as a symbolic extension of the maritime path he set in motion. Located at Singapore’s western maritime gateway and facing the Johor Strait, the Marina reflects the same spirit of openness, navigation, and seafaring connection. Its iconic lighthouse is one of the most photogenic sunset coastal landmarks in Singapore.

The tour brings these narratives to life through immersive storytelling, interactive stations and a fun treasure-hunt trail filled with clues, mini challenges and short videos. Participants will uncover hidden stories, explore the Marina’s scenic grounds, and end with exclusive entry into the iconic Raffles Marina Lighthouse to witness the sun setting over the horizon—a symbol of Singapore’s enduring maritime journey.
