Saturday (9 May): 10.30am - 12.30pm

Discover how the sea shaped the story of Little India and Singapore’s rise as a global trading hub. On this guided trail, participants will journey through the lives of early Indian traders, Chettiar moneylenders, Spice Merchants, Textile Dealers, and Cattle Traders who travelled across oceans to Singapore. Through interactive storytelling at each stop, trail-goers will experience how culture, community, and food interlink with the seas. The trail ends with a Fish Head Curry & Banana leaf “River Trade” inspired meal at Gayathri Restaurant.
