This talk, by marine archaeologist Dr Michael Flecker, is an exclusive one focused on historic shipwrecks within the Singapore Straits, such as the Empress of Asia. Dr Flecker will explore the significance of the artefacts recovered, highlighting Singapore’s role as a global maritime trading hub since the 1300s. The talks and tours will offer in-depth insights into the artefacts, their historical context, and how they reflect Singapore's rich maritime heritage.
