With its contributions over the past 75 years, the Singapore Red Cross Society (SRC) is a homegrown humanitarian organisation that holds a significant place in local history. The Red Cross House was opened in 1961 by Yang di-Pertuan Negara Yusof bin Ishak, and gazetted as a conservation building in 2014.

Following renovations in 2021, it was officially reopened by President Tharman Shanmugaratnam in October 2023. Join passionate staff and volunteers for an open house tour, exploring the historic building and uncovering the stories of resilience and community spirit within. Visitors will learn about how SRC builds resilience from coast-to-coast — locally and internationally, and hear heart-to-heart stories on how lives have been uplifted and transformed. Tour the historic building, experience a first aid demonstration, and visit our newly-opened charity shop to shop for a good cause!

Singapore Red Cross Society
Founded in 1949, the Singapore Red Cross is a homegrown humanitarian organisation dedicated to relieving human suffering, protecting lives and dignity, and responding to emergencies. We serve the vulnerable in our community through programmes for older persons, persons with disabilities, families, children and youth. We build capacity and resilience through our training academy as well as volunteer and youth development. Beyond our shores, we mobilise contributions from the community to relief and recovery, rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts for communities affected by disasters.
