Port to Plate is a walking theatre performance based on Singapore’s hawker heritage, particularly the stories found near the mouth of the Singapore River. Set in the 1930s, we take a group of aspiring hawkers on a walk around the bustling area to prepare them to set up their very own stalls. Along the way, we meet different characters who tell us about life near the Singapore River in the 1930s.

Sea Crafts: Blast from the Past! presented by Sport Singapore

Blast from the past! Check out boats from YOG2010 and past competitions at this sea crafts display at the Sea Sports Heritage Fest 2026. Organised by Sport Singapore, supported by Singapore Canoe Federation, Singapore Dragon Boat Association, Singapore Rowing, and Singapore Sailing.

TIED TO THE TIDES: Kelongs, Knots & the Fisherman’s Craft by C.O.O.E.

Explore Singapore’s vanishing kelongs and coastal fishing heritage with arts collective C.O.O.E. and a maritime elder. Families will explore traditional fishing tools and fishing nets, learn basic knots, and create decorated fish shapes—bringing maritime stories to life.

Step aboard the historic Vessel Vega for a rare, behind-the-scenes tour of a 134 -year old wooden sailing ship, that is still fully operational today. Meet the Captain, explore crew quarters, and discover her inspiring humanitarian missions across Southeast Asia.

WOVEN WAVES: Reading Stories in Batik by Studio Gypsied and Art Away Studio

Discover maritime stories hidden in batik motifs in this hands-on family workshop. Learn to decode symbols once used by seafarers and create your own story-cloth using stamps inspired by clouds, waves and sea creatures from Southeast Asian maritime traditions.
