A hands-on maritime heritage baking masterclass at a swanky commercial kitchen studio where participants bake, taste, and uncover Singapore’s port history through edible storytelling inspired by seafaring life, spice routes, and dockside communities.

Indulge in a curated tasting menu at Mariners’ Corner and hear maritime stories from SMOU Seafarers and about the owner's grandfather, Mr. Say Ho Soon, who was chef to Capt. Robert John Jack Sneddon – former Chief Pilot of the Singapore Harbour Board.

Nanyang Tea Challenge

9 May • 02:30pm

The Challenge comprises of 2 rounds: the preliminary round where challengers will do a blind tasting of selected Nanyang Tea and then brew a selected Nanyang Tea, while the final round required the challengers to do a tea presentation-based on their blended Nanyang Tea with food pairing element in the Maritime context.

Ombak: A Communal Food, Sensory & Tasting Experience

17 May • 10:30am

Participants are introduced to coastal-inspired scents by Lukman Hakim of UNTA Aromatics, evoking memories of familiar ingredients, followed by a live demonstration of pepes ikan daun pisang by Chef Suria of Dapur Cahaya. They engage through smell and observation before concluding with a communal tasting.

Pasar to Hawker

Explore Chinatown in the lens of the Cantonese heritage and the seafood culture, from choices of fresh fishes to sundried goods and lastly, visit a 4th generation hawker, peeking into the hawker life while learning about the changing hawker stories.

Roots & Flavours: A Pulau Ubin Discovery

2 - 3, 9 - 10, 16 - 17, 23 - 24 May • 08:30am

Travel by bumboat to Pulau Ubin and uncover its rich maritime past. Once sustained by granite trade and coastal fishing, island villagers relied on tides and kelongs for livelihood before migrating to mainland Singapore, leaving behind kampungs that reflect the nation’s seafaring heritage.

Spices & Shipping: A Sunset Journey Through Singapore’s Maritime Heritage
